What the Moon Saw and What the Moon Said
What the Moon Saw: and Other Tales by Hans Christian Andersen is a 19th-century collection of short stories blending whimsy and moral lessons, often inspired by Andersen's life experiences. We used this as a prompt to write from the point of view of the moon - to write - What the Moon Saw...
The Moon shone bold and bright
lighting up the dark, dark night
while down below
Tim looked up high
looking up at the moon and the stars in the sky
He quickly took his camera phone
to capture this moment
while all alone
the Moon was very happy,
in fact, she was very vain
without notice, clouds gathered
it started to rain
Tim's photo won lots of prizes and cheer
And his moon photo sold for a price quite dear.

So much darkness apart from the rays of light casting shadows, out of the silence, (the moon) there was what sounded like gunshots and explosions of colours. There is so much happening all at once, lighting up the night sky.
All too soon it was over just as soon as it had started. So much joy heard below, lots of laughter and bass and drumbeats, people throwing some moves.
It lasted for as long as forever because nobody wanted it to stop.

The Moon said I hold a secret that not many know. You my dear, are an angel put here to love, dance and roam. Go on your way and make use of today.
What the Moon Saw Last Night
The Moon said I watch Heaven and the galaxies rush over your head. Each night whilst you rest, the universe moves its way around to serve you best. Do not curse your experiences today - it will all be made clear - why you are here. You are part of this vast universe and your role will be apparent my dear.

The moon had witnessed many a disaster and many triumphs. It had watched on helplessly as a comet had collided with with Earth and resulted in such an apocalyptic explosion that its view had been obscured by the blackest of clouds for nights and days on end, although it could still hear the dying groans of gigantic dinosaurs as they gasped their last breaths of toxic air.
